Welcome to Hiroshima Peace Camp!

You know?  It’s very difficult to reserve accommodations in Hiroshima around August 6th every year, when the Peace Memorial Ceremony is held.  The Hiroshima Peace Camp is a temporary campsite for those who are visiting Hiroshima from home and abroad during the period.

Supported by the City of Hiroshima, the campsite is set up on the ground of Hiroshima City University between August 4th and 7th every year.  Buses from the campsite to the Peace Memorial Ceremony run in the early morning on August 6.

We, voluntary staffs, serve delicious meals for the visitors at very cheap prices, as well as prepare several programs to have them enjoy their stay at the campsite.

We hope to create a space in which visitors and volunteers can exchange their opinions on peace with one another; for example what means peace for us, how we can contribute to the realization of world eternal peace, how we can abolish the nuclear weapons, and so on.
